The transport study aimed at the identification of the three most suitable corridors for the new high speed railway line Turin-Venice. For each of them the following activities have been carried out: the evaluation of their impact on the territory, in relation to macro environmental restrictions and on the existing transport systems; the estimation of present transport supply and demand; the definition of different railway operative models; passenger and freight demand forecast (by railway); the assessment of running costs and financial investments; the estimation of fares revenues and other income; economic and financial analyses.
