The purpose of the SNOWBALL project is to develop an integrated transport planning project in six European cities: Verona, San Sebastian-Donostia, San Fernando, Zvolen, Martin and Ludwigsburg.
Three model cities (Hilversum, Stockholm, Trnava) contribute by illustrating their own experiences in terms of the application of planning instruments and of sustainable integrated transport programmes.
Six implementation cities are developing their own local projects, applying the principles of integrated planning. These cities will then divulge their know-how to interested cities of the same country; the final goal is to generate a snowball effect with regard to the implementation of such principles.
NET will monitor the development of the six Urban Plans of the implementation cities and, more specifically, will supply technical support relative to integrated planning.
